Didcot: Travellers leave Ladygrove Housing Estate site

The unauthorised encampment was set up at the Ladygrove Housing Estate in Didcot on June 2.

Thames Valley Police conducted additional community reassurance patrols after the encampment allegedly caused disruptive noise with concerns being raised about anti-social behaviour.

The force confirmed the group left the site in a statement today (May 5).

The Ladygrove Housing Estate was constructed north of the main town in the 1980s.

The force previously said it was working with the landowner to “achieve a prompt and proportionate resolution”.

It added that officers conducted an area visit to try to mitigate any “noise nuisance” as well as concerns around behaviour.
