Saskatchewan RCMP report fatal collision north of Estevan

Saskatchewan RCMP are continuing to investigate a fatal collision on a highway bypass near Estevan.

A semi-truck and a truck reportedly collided June 1 on the bypass between Highway 39 and Highway 47 north of Estevan, according to an RCMP news release issued Wednesday.

The driver of the truck was pronounced dead at the scene. His family were notified and RCMP indicated in the release that the man’s family asked that his age and hometown not be released to the public.

The semi-truck driver was taken to hospital by STARS air ambulance with what were described as serious injuries. A passenger in the semi-truck was taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening.
